El Comité de Clasificación y Administración de Juego de Corea del Sur (GRAC) ha asignado una calificación de "19+" a la muerte 2: en la playa . La calificación cita "violencia excesiva", "blasfemias excesivas, blasfemias y juramentos", y representaciones del uso de sustancias ilegales como razones para la calificación madura.

Hideo Kojima presentó recientemente a la actriz Shiori Kutsuna con flores, reconociendo sus contribuciones al juego.
