Kojima Productions y Sony presentaron la fecha de lanzamiento para Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (DS2) durante el evento South by Southwest (SXSW) el 9 de marzo de 2025, en Austin, Texas. El panel, dirigido por el director de DS2 Hideo Kojima, comenzó con un cautivador remolque de 10 minutos que ofreció vislumbres en nuevos elementos de la historia y imágenes de juego.
