La prueba beta cerrada está programada para comenzar el 27 de febrero de 2025, como se anunció en la página Kickstarter del juego. El productor Kazuto Sakajiri compartió actualizaciones emocionantes, incluidas más de 100,000 listas de deseos de vapor y una recepción positiva de la demostración de la banda sonora original de Ratatan. Si bien el juego no aparecerá en la próxima festival de Steam Next, el equipo prioriza la versión beta cerrada y prepara una demostración mejorada para el June STEAM Next Fest.

La versión beta cerrada inicialmente presentará la etapa 1, con las etapas 2 y 3 agregadas durante el período de prueba de aproximadamente un mes. Los detalles de distribución para códigos beta se anunciarán a través de Discord y X.

Ratatan está programado para su lanzamiento en 2025 en PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One y PC. Una fecha de lanzamiento precisa sigue sin previo aviso.
