New Black Ops 6 Zombies Map May Exclude Amalgams
Exciting news for fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6! The developers at Treyarch have just announced a thrilling addition to the game's round-based survival mode, Zombies. The fifth new map, dubbed the Mansion, promises to bring a fresh experience to players. A sneak peek was shared on the official Call of Duty and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch's X (formerly Twitter) accounts on March 12, 2025. The image showcases a grand mansion with visible damage on its walls, surrounded by flaming army car wreckage, dark puffs of black smoke, and internal fires, setting the stage for intense gameplay.
The teaser image is accompanied by a caption that reads, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" and includes the hashtag "#Zombies." Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a well-known character from the series, notably featured in Call of Duty: Cold War, is set to return in this Black Ops 6 remake. Fans have also identified the map as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, dated February 1991, aligning with the narrative from the previous map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuing storyline.
In a significant twist, Treyarch confirmed on their Instagram account that the Mansion map will not feature Amalgam enemies. When a user commented on anticipating "the wrath of 20 amalgams on this map too," the developers responded with a straightforward "Nope." Amalgams, known for their high health and powerful attacks as Elite class enemies, will be absent, potentially offering players a more manageable gameplay experience on this map.
