Schedule I burst onto the scene as the top-selling game on Steam upon its launch, outpacing established titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals. Its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube fueled its success. In the game, players start as a small-time drug dealer in the gritty city of Hyland Point, with the goal of rising to become a powerful kingpin. Players can expand their empire by acquiring properties, businesses, and hiring employees.
The game is developed and published by TVGS, the Australian indie developer led by Tyler, who described the explosive launch as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." In a reddit post, Tyler expressed his surprise at the game's reception and his focus on delivering patches and future content updates as soon as major bugs are addressed.
