Hyde Run: Global Release of High-Speed Endless Runner Game!
If you’re a fan of Japanese music, you're likely familiar with HYDE, the iconic artist who has graced Madison Square Garden and sold over 40 million records. Now, he's stepping into the digital world as the protagonist of a new endless runner game, Hyde Run, which has just launched globally. Originally released in Japan, this game is now accessible to players worldwide, allowing fans to immerse themselves in HYDE's musical universe through gameplay rich with references to his illustrious career.
Move, Jump, or Slide in Hyde Run
Hyde Run offers an exhilarating experience as you take on the role of HYDE, navigating through a concert stage and a futuristic Tokyo simultaneously. The game sets you on a high-speed chase across Neo Tokyo, where you'll dodge obstacles, perform wall-runs past billboards, and collect musical notes. The game's atmosphere is distinctly vibrant, infused with the energy of guitar solos and filled with fan-favorite references, setting it apart from typical endless runners.
As you dash through the city, you can grab various power-ups such as magnets that draw notes towards you and barriers that protect you from damage. Before each run, you can select items to enhance your performance, like the Note Gain to collect more notes or a Barrier to avoid tripping over obstacles. Additionally, collecting crystals allows you to unlock exclusive outfits and room items from HYDE's career, along with voice clips from the artist himself by unlocking the Microphone Stand.
There’s More Stuff in the Game to Do
Beyond the running action, Hyde Run lets you customize HYDE’s room with memorabilia spanning 20 years of his career, from tour gear to more obscure items. Hidden collectibles unlock additional messages and voice notes from HYDE, adding a personal touch to the experience.
Currently, there's a range of limited-time content available until June 10th, 2025. The THE LAST ROCKSTARS Costume Set features HYDE in an iconic look from a music video, complete with matching ROCK Furniture like leopard prints, vintage trunks, and stage spotlights. For a more relaxed vibe, the Bat Jinbei Costume Set offers a summer-festival inspired look, while a Japanese-style furniture set with bamboo, bonboris, and a wind chime shaped like HYDE’s Edyh character provides a traditional aesthetic.
You can download Hyde Run from the Google Play Store. Don't miss out on this unique gaming experience that celebrates the legacy of HYDE. And before you go, be sure to check out our next news piece on the story-driven anthropomorphic adventure, Duck Detective: The Secret Salami.
