Known Habitats and Weaknesses

Rey Dau, the first dragon monster you'll meet in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, roams the Windward Plains. It's equipped with the lightning element, making it immune to lightning-based attacks. To exploit its vulnerabilities, target its breakable parts: horns, wings, and tail. Rey Dau is particularly weak to ice and water elements, with its head being the most vulnerable at a 4-star weakness, followed by its wings at a 3-star. Avoid attacking its sturdy torso or well-protected legs. Instead, aim for the tail if hitting the head proves challenging.

Effective Status Effects and Items

You can use a variety of status effects against Rey Dau, such as Poison, Sleep, Paralysis, Blastblight, Stun, and Exhaust. However, since it's immune to lightning, using Stun or Paralysis might not yield the desired results. Equip yourself with effective items like Pitfall Traps, Flash Pods, and Dung Pods to maximize your advantage in battle.

Use a Flash Pod
