Gomoku is a classic abstract strategy board game featuring black and white stones.

Also known as Gobang or Five in a Row, this game uses Go pieces on a board. Unlike chess, pieces remain stationary once placed, making it playable with pen and paper too. Different cultures know this game by various names.

Black moves first, with players taking turns placing their colored stones on empty intersections. Victory goes to whoever first creates an uninterrupted line of five stones horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
