A trick-taking card game with similarities to Bridge.

Back Alley, also known as Back Alley Bridge, is a card game with military origins, most likely emerging around World War II.

This game shares similarities with Bridge and Spades. The objective is to win tricks to score points. Players must predict the number of tricks they will take—accurate predictions that don't overestimate yield higher scores. In doubles play, rounds start with one card, while singles play starts with two. Each round increases the hand size by one card up to a maximum of 13, then progressively decreases back to the starting number. The player or team with the highest total points at the end wins. Two versions are available: a doubles version for four players in two teams of two, and a singles version for three individual players.
