Every hero and ally comes from familiar Runeterra regions. You can play cards from 9 areas: Demacia, Noxus, Freljord, Piltover & Zaun, Ionia, Targon, Shurima, Shadow Isles, and Bandle City.

Learn how combining heroes from diverse regions gives you the upper hand. Mix, test, and innovate to stay fresh amid regular updates and an evolving meta.

CHOOSE YOUR PATH

In PvE mode, the journey is shaped by your choices. Face unique opponents, collect and equip power-ups, unlock heroes, and tackle new challenges across the map. Enemies grow stronger—and so do you. Multiple endings unfold as the story advances.

SUCCEED BY SKILL, NOT BY CHANCE

Earn cards by playing or buy them directly using gem shards and mystery cards. Take full control of your deck without buying random packs. Get heroes right away or complete your collection without spending real money.

Win or lose, each match gives experience to advance your progress. Pick a region to explore first, unlock your favorite cards, and switch regions anytime. Progress through the game to gather new allies, spells, and champions.

Each week, open a chest from the Vault. The more you play, the better the chest—card rarity increases from Common all the way to Champion. Chests also contain wild cards that turn into any card you choose.

BUILD & CREATE

The Lab is a limited-time experimental game mode that alters classic Legends of Runeterra mechanics. Pick a pre-built deck with specific restrictions or bring your own. Rules change often, and sometimes you'll need help from friends. Come back regularly to see Heimerdinger’s latest experiments.

COMPETITIVE RANKS

Each season ends with 1,024 qualified players from 4 HTR regions (Americas, Europe, Asia, and Southeast Asia) competing for pride, glory, and cash prizes in the Seasonal Tournament.

Besides ranked play, Gauntlet mode is another way to qualify. Duel is a limited-time competitive mode with unique rules and exclusive rewards.
