Avowed

Just one month after launching, including its debut on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released a new trailer celebrating Avowed. The video highlights key review scores and quotes from gaming journalists, reflecting widespread praise for the action RPG.

The newest update introduces DLSS 4 compatibility, with Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These enhancements significantly boost performance—NVIDIA tests show frame rates up to three times faster at max 4K settings, achieving up to 340 FPS. The developers also hinted at upcoming news regarding the game’s ongoing support and development roadmap over the next few weeks.

Beyond technical upgrades, this release also improves overall gameplay. Players will now gain one extra talent point every five levels, and those with existing progress will automatically receive their points after loading a save. Keyboard and mouse users can toggle walk/run modes, while a new accessibility setting increases font sizes for all in-game text, books, and tutorials.

While Avowed didn't completely amaze every critic, it earned consistently high marks. Digital Foundry described it as a technical "triumph," further cementing Obsidian’s reputation for delivering exceptional RPGs.
