Bethesda Reveals Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

Author : Layla Update : Dec 01,2025

After months of speculation and numerous leaks, Bethesda appears poised to officially announce the remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow.

Today, the official Bethesda Twitter/X account teased a major announcement scheduled for tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, to be streamed on both YouTube and Twitch. While the announcement's details weren't explicitly stated, the prominent Roman numeral "IV" and a background heavily reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork strongly hint at the subject.

Rumors of an Oblivion remake have circulated for years, escalating to more credible leaks in recent weeks. The possibility first emerged from a Bethesda release schedule dating back to 2020, which was disclosed during the 2023 FTC vs. Microsoft trial. This document indicated an Oblivion remaster was slated for a fiscal year 2022 release. Initially, many dismissed this as an outdated or canceled plan. However, a new leak in January of this year described the project as a comprehensive remake being developed by Bethesda in collaboration with support studio Virtuos. These rumors gained further traction last week when additional leaks from Virtuos' own website surfaced, showcasing in-game images.

If the recent leaks are accurate, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. A Deluxe Edition is also expected, reportedly including the classic horse armor alongside the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for the official confirmation and further details.
