"Blood of Dawnwalker: New RPG Unveiled by CD Projekt RED Veterans"

Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by former developers from CD Projekt RED, recently hosted a stream that fully unveiled their debut project, The Blood of Dawnwalker. During the event, they showcased a captivating four-minute cinematic trailer, which also serves as the opening to the game's storyline. This dark fantasy action RPG is set to immerse players in an alternate version of mid-14th century Europe.

The narrative follows a young man named Coen, who, after the events shown in the intro, acquires supernatural abilities. His mission is to rescue his loved ones from the clutches of vampires, and he has only 30 days and nights to do so. Time in the game advances during specific gameplay moments, requiring players to manage it carefully to succeed in their quest.

Throughout the game, Coen faces significant moral dilemmas: he must choose between retaining his humanity or succumbing to his dark vampiric nature. This choice not only impacts the storyline but also the gameplay mechanics. A central feature of the game is the Blood Hunger mechanic; if Coen goes too long without feeding on blood, he risks losing control, which could result in the accidental death of an important character, leading to unforeseen consequences.

Players will have the freedom to explore richly detailed environments, with the game's open world described by the developers as a "narrative sandbox." The time of day will influence many aspects of the game, offering extensive opportunities for player actions and decisions.

The Blood of Dawnwalker has been in development for two years and is being crafted using Unreal Engine 5. The game is slated for release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, though an exact release date has not yet been announced.
