BrownDust2 Launches Onsen Training Update with New Story and Challenges

Neowiz and Gamfs N have released the first content update for BrownDust2 since its 1.5-year anniversary in December. Named Onsen Training, this update introduces exciting new elements to the game.

Onsen Training transports players to a Japanese winter hot spring, featuring intense swordfighting battles and classic BrownDust2 challenges, spiced up with a touch of monkey chaos. It’s both humorous and thrilling.

BrownDust2 Embraces Onsen Training Adventure

The update introduces three new characters. Ventana, the central figure of the story, and Liberta are available as playable characters through the pickup draw, while Blade remains exclusive to the narrative.

The Onsen Training event story unfolds in the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden’s Gate of BrownDust2, offering 30 battles divided into 15 normal and 15 challenge modes.

The journey begins with Ventana, the Kendo Club captain, reeling from a recent defeat by Justia, a new student.

Determined to restore her pride, Ventana travels to a snowy mountain hot spring said to boost physical prowess. Her training takes an unexpected turn when she encounters the playful Snowy Mountain Monkeys.

Blade, a legendary Kendo Club graduate, saves her but refuses to teach her swordsmanship. Liberta, the hot spring manager, steps in, offering to help Ventana earn Blade’s mentorship.

New Mini-Game Introduced

The update includes Onsen Tile Tactics, a fast-paced mini-game where players clear tiles against the clock. The event story progresses in phases, starting with Legendary Graduate in the first week and culminating in Beyond Legend by the third week.

Players will battle both returning and new bosses. Giant Rou, the Fiend Hunter boss, returns in the first week, while the third week introduces the formidable Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a massive monkey that grows stronger when targeting enemies with DoT effects.

Additionally, the Guild Raid boss Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, debuts. With no elemental properties, Rucersingha unleashes powerful attacks and requires multiple chain stacks to defeat.

New gear and costumes are also available. The Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume can be collected until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume, available until February 13th.
