Clash of Clans is set to ditch Troop Training times in major overhaul

Clash of Clans is about to undergo a massive transformation: troop training times are being completely eliminated! Get ready to deploy your army almost instantly and jump into battles faster than ever before. However, this means it's now or never for your Training Potions and Treats – use them up or they'll be converted to Gems at the end of the month! They'll be removed from in-app purchases and chest rewards, though you can still find them in the Trader and Gold Pass for a limited time.

While Clash of Clans remains a beloved mobile game, its age is showing in several areas. Supercell acknowledges this and has been steadily modernizing the game. The removal of troop, spell, and siege unit training times is arguably the most significant change yet. Following the removal of training costs in 2022, this update marks another major step forward.

To help players adapt to this change, Supercell is introducing "Match Anytime," a new feature that lets you attack a snapshot of another player's base when no real-time opponents are available. You'll still earn rewards, but the defending player won't lose anything if their base is defeated. This mechanic is already used in Clan Wars and Legend League, but now it will be standard across the game.
