Deltarune Switch 2 Exclusive Feature Revealed in Secret "SPECIAL ROOM"

During the latest Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, it was announced that Deltarune will be available on the new console, featuring Chapters 3 and 4, along with exclusive content.

According to a newsletter from Fangamer, shared by Deltarune's creator Toby Fox, the Switch 2 version will include a unique "SPECIAL ROOM" that utilizes the mouse functionality of the new Joy-Cons. Fox excitedly shared, "So, we made a very small SPECIAL ROOM which takes advantage of using MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS AT ONCE, only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2!!"

For those playing on other platforms, the special room will still be accessible but with a different control scheme. Additionally, players can seamlessly import their save files from the Nintendo Switch demo of Deltarune 1 and 2 to the new version, ensuring continuity in their gaming journey.

Deltarune Future Chapters Will Be Free

In the same newsletter, Toby Fox announced that Deltarune will be priced at $24.99. This price covers Chapters 1 and 2, as well as the new releases of Chapters 3 and 4. While Chapters 1 and 2 were initially released for free in 2018 and 2021, respectively, it was previously stated that future Chapters 3-5 would require payment.

However, Fox has now revealed that all upcoming Chapters will be added as free updates. This means that after purchasing the game once, players can enjoy all future content without additional cost. Fox expressed his hope that players would feel the game offers incredible value, stating, "But, it's my hope that as we complete more Chapters, you'll feel like this game was a super super super super good deal."

The game’s soundtrack will also be available on Steam for $14.99. The release of Chapters 3 and 4 will include over 150 songs, with future Chapters adding even more tracks at no extra cost. Deltarune aims to provide fans with a game that maximizes value by offering free future content.
