Disney Mirrorverse to Close Servers

Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Kabam, the developer, announced the End of Service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.

The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months of remaining playtime before the servers are permanently deactivated.

A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse initially generated significant excitement among Disney fans. However, a lengthy two-year early access beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition. The game's challenging shard collection system, requiring substantial investment to fully develop characters, also hindered its long-term success. Despite these drawbacks, the game boasted impressive character designs and high-quality graphics.

The recent EOS announcement is particularly surprising, given the release of new story content and the addition of Cinderella as a playable character just a week prior. This abrupt closure mirrors Kabam's past decisions, including the sudden shutdown of Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.

The unexpected EOS announcement for Disney Mirrorverse has left many players disappointed. What are your thoughts on this news? Share your comments below. For more gaming news, check out our coverage of Zombies In Conflict Of Nations: World War 3 Season 15!
