Fortnite Update: Classic Guns and Maps Return in Reload Mode

Fortnite's new "Reload" mode is a nostalgic blast from the past with a modern twist! This fast-paced mode throws 40 players onto a smaller map packed with iconic locations from past seasons, bringing back the thrill of classic Fortnite.

What Makes Reload Mode Unique?

This isn't your average Battle Royale. In Reload, squad wipes are permanent – game over if your whole team is eliminated. But as long as one teammate remains, there's always a chance for a comeback! The action plays out across a compact island featuring fan-favorite spots like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. Forget about vehicles; this mode focuses on intense close-quarters combat.

Reload Mode features a curated selection of unvaulted weapons, bringing back beloved items like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler. Victory Crowns are still in play, and when you're revived, you'll respawn with a common Assault Rifle (and building materials in Build Mode). The Reboot Timer adds another layer of strategy, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40 as the match progresses. Eliminating enemies reduces this timer, allowing for quicker revivals.

Elimination and Rewards:

When eliminated, you drop Small Shield Potions, ammo, and building materials (in Build Mode), keeping the fight dynamic and resource-driven. The mode also includes compelling intro quests, offering substantial XP rewards. Complete three quests to earn the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, and nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling. Secure a Victory Royale and claim The Rezzbrella Glider.
