Genshin 5.7 Debuts Skirk & Dahlia

HoYoverse has announced the next major update for Genshin Impact, Version 5.7, titled "A Space and Time for You," arriving on June 18. This release introduces new playable characters, advances the main storyline, adds a fresh combat challenge, and a strategic mini-game developed by the Sumeru Akademiya.

Skirk Arrives in Genshin Impact Version 5.7!

Skirk is a mysterious figure with profound connections to the Abyss, primarily recognized as the elusive mentor of Childe. Her combat abilities are distinct, featuring two interchangeable fighting styles and a unique mechanic known as Serpent's Subtlety.

Joining her is Dahlia, a new 4-star Hydro character who also serves as the Deacon of the Church of Favonius. His skills are heavily focused on support roles. The first half of Version 5.7 will feature Skirk and Dahlia's debut, alongside a rerun of Shenhe. The latter half will see the return of the Pyro Archon Mavuika and the character Emilie.

Where’s the Story Heading?

The narrative continues directly from the conclusion of the "Bedtime Story" quest. As the Traveler's journey with their sibling intensifies, the Abyss Order begins to make its move within Natlan, causing unrest on multiple fronts. Mavuika and her allies are preparing for conflict, while Dainsleif appears in a new form to aid the Traveler.

Simultaneously, the Sumeru Akademiya is launching a simulated adventure event that blends strategic choices with random encounters. Participants will build a team of Companion Pieces and select one of two distinct exploration paths: the rainforest or the desert.

Version 5.7 also introduces a permanent combat mode named Stygian Onslaught, featuring three rotating bosses and six difficulty levels. Players can earn Artifacts and a new resource called Dust of Enlightenment, which allows for the re-rolling of substats on max-level Artifacts.

Finally, a new slice-of-life series titled "Travelers' Tales: Gilded Chapter" will be added, offering a collection of lighthearted moments from across Teyvat. Characters such as Thoma, Neuvillette, and Dori will be featured in their own short stories.
