How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
As the Natlan Archon Quest in Genshin Impact nears its conclusion, the game's lore continues to unravel, bringing with it new challenges and formidable foes. Each region in Genshin Impact boasts two weekly bosses, and the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire stands out as one of the most daunting. This colossal dual-sworded Dragon embodies the primal essence of Natlan's original ruler, with Gosoythoth's appearance adding an extra layer of menace. Echoing the Abyss's malevolence, similar to the Riftwolves of Inazuma, this boss introduces mechanics like the Corrosion effect, making the battle intense but not insurmountable. Here's a comprehensive guide on tackling the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire.
Where To Find The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
You can encounter the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire at the Stone Stele Records domain, located just south of the Statue of Seven near the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. This domain is within a shrine commemorating those lost in the Natlan battle. Upon entering the domain, players can claim rewards using 30 Original Resin for the first three boss fights of the week.
To access this challenging boss, players must complete the final chapter of the Archon Quest: When All Becomes A Monument. Alternatively, for those who wish to bypass the story, the Quick Challenge option in the Adventurer’s Handbook provides another route to face this beast.
How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
Overcoming the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire is closely tied to using Natlan-specific characters such as Mavuika, Kinich, Citlali, and Mualani. Though the Dragon remains mostly stationary, it will eventually summon three Pillars and three Tenebrous Mimiflora, which are more manageable with characters wielding Nightsoul Blessings.
Make Sure To Destroy The Three Pillars With Nightsoul Blessing
While it's technically possible to use other characters to destroy the summoned Pillars, using Natlan characters like Mavuika, Citlali, Kinich, or Kachina significantly speeds up the process. Breaking these Pillars quickly prevents the Dragon from unleashing its Eroded Meteor strike, immobilizing it for about 10 seconds, giving you a window to inflict damage.
If the Pillars aren't destroyed in time, brace for the meteor attack by equipping a shield and switching to a healer. Healers like Furina and Kokomi are ideal, but Kuki, Barbara, and Bennett are also effective in sustaining your team through the corrosive damage that penetrates even shields.
Try Your Best To Dodge Or Stay Underneath The Dragon
Navigating the Dragon's unpredictable attacks is challenging. It often transforms into smoke, complicating tracking its movements, and its sword slashes and smashes significantly reduce your maneuverable space. Staying close to the Dragon and attacking from underneath can be effective, but caution is crucial due to the corrosive effects of its Eroded Dragon Breath attack.
This attack involves the Dragon impaling its swords into the ground, causing Pyro and Erosion damage. Ensure you're both shielded and healed, and if overwhelmed, retreat to areas near its hands where the Dragon Breath can't reach. Immediate healing after any hit is essential to mitigate the Erosion effect.
A healer is non-negotiable for this fight; choose wisely to ensure your team's survival.
Co-Op Mode and Matching
Whether you have Natlan characters or not, Co-Op Mode can be a game-changer, especially during the Pillar phase. Simply click the 'Match' button upon entering the Domain to join another player's world and tackle the boss together.
This fight lacks multiple phases, unlike some other Weekly Bosses, but it demands patience and strategic planning to succeed.
