CES 2025 has certainly stirred excitement within the tech world, and the mobile gaming sector is no exception. One of the most intriguing announcements came from Krafton, the developers behind PUBG, on January 8th. They introduced the concept of "CPC" - short for "Co-Playable Character." Unlike traditional NPCs, these characters are powered by generative AI, set to enhance gameplay in both PUBG and inZOI.

The implementation of CPC in inZOI, dubbed "Smart Zoi," promises to bring a new level of emotional depth and personalized interaction to the simulation game. This advancement is poised to make the in-game interactions feel more authentic and engaging.

For PUBG enthusiasts, the "PUBG Ally" will adapt to players' strategies, enhancing the game's dynamics. Whether this feature will be seen as thrilling or unsettling remains to be seen.

Developed in collaboration with NVIDIA ACE, these Co-Playable Characters will also engage in real-time conversations with players, dynamically adjusting to the game's context. Kangwook Lee, Head of the Deep Learning Division at Krafton, commented on the partnership, saying, *“Our collaboration with NVIDIA is a testament to the transformative potential of AI in gaming, and we plan to work closely together to push the boundaries of what is possible."*

While waiting for these AI-enhanced characters to make their debut, gamers looking to connect with real players can explore our curated list of the best multiplayer games on Android.
