Lara Croft: Guardian of Light Launches Android Free Trial

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light has just released a major mobile update introducing a 'Try Before You Buy' option. Available on both Android and iOS, this update allows players to experience the game for free. Originally launched on mobile in February, the action-adventure title now offers a risk-free way to test its gameplay.

What's Included in the Free Trial?

The trial version from Feral Interactive grants access to the first two levels of this isometric action-platformer. Set deep in the Mexican jungle, players can revisit these introductory missions indefinitely.

During the trial, players will face undead warriors, navigate ancient traps, and solve environmental puzzles - all while working to stop Xolotl, the Aztec god of darkness, from casting the world into perpetual night.

The full game unlocks via a single $9.99 in-app purchase, providing access to levels 3 through 14 plus twelve additional bonus levels. Notably, all progress and achievements from the trial seamlessly carry over to the complete version.

Enhanced Gameplay Features

The trial demonstrates the game's dual-stick combat system and environmental navigation challenges. Players will swing across gaps, solve temple puzzles, and explore diverse environments from swamps to volcanic caverns - all while wielding Lara's iconic dual pistols.

The mobile version offers fully customizable touch controls alongside gamepad support. Surprisingly, the trial even includes full online co-op functionality, allowing players to team up with friends during their test experience.
