"MageTrain: Fast-Paced Pixel Roguelike Now on Android"

Tidepool Games has just released a thrilling new game for Android enthusiasts: MageTrain. If you've played Nimble Quest before, MageTrain will feel quite familiar, as it draws heavy inspiration from it. This fast-paced, pixel art game blends the classic mechanics of Snake with elements of auto-battlers and roguelikes, offering a unique and engaging experience.

What's MageTrain Like?

MageTrain challenges you to control a line of heroes that follow behind you, much like a snake. As you navigate through the arena, each hero automatically attacks enemies. Your key role is to strategically manage the positioning of your heroes within the line, as their abilities vary depending on their position. Whether they lead the charge or support from the rear, their skills adapt dynamically.

At launch, MageTrain offers nine unique heroes, including one that throws birds, each with distinct abilities that change based on their position in the train. You'll venture through eight varied dungeons, confront 28 different enemy types, and unlock 30 skills to enhance your team's capabilities. Along your journey, you'll collect gold and power-ups, further customizing your strategy.

The roguelike structure ensures each run is unique, with branching paths and upgrade choices that keep the gameplay fresh and challenging. Similar to games like Slay the Spire or FTL, there are no fixed levels, and you can't save your progress mid-run. A single mistake—whether crashing into an obstacle or being overwhelmed by enemies—means starting over. This adds to the game's intensity and replay value.
