Marvel Rivals Announces Balancing Changes in Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Major Balance Changes

NetEase Games has unveiled a comprehensive developer update for Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This season introduces a wealth of new content and significant balance adjustments.

Key Features of Season 1:

  • Dracula as the Main Villain: Prepare for a showdown with the iconic vampire lord.
  • The Fantastic Four Join the Roster: Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman arrive at launch, with Human Torch and The Thing following in six to seven weeks.
  • New Maps and Game Mode: Three new maps and a thrilling new game mode, "Doom Match," will enhance gameplay variety.
  • Battle Pass with 10 Skins: The Season 1 battle pass, costing 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers 10 skins and rewards of 600 Lattice and 600 Units.

Balance Adjustments:

The update addresses balance concerns, focusing on both nerfs and buffs:

  • Nerfs: Hela and Hawkeye, previously dominant in higher-ranked matches, will receive nerfs to reduce their overall power.
  • Buffs: Mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom will receive buffs to improve their effectiveness in combat. Wolverine, Storm, and Cloak and Dagger will also see performance boosts, encouraging diverse team strategies. Adjustments are also planned for Jeff the Land Shark to better align his warning indicators with his ultimate's hitbox. No major changes to his ultimate ability's power are currently planned.

Seasonal Bonuses:

While NetEase Games hasn't detailed changes to the Seasonal Bonus feature, it remains a point of discussion among players, with many hoping for adjustments to improve overall game balance.

Season 1 promises a significant update to Marvel Rivals, with new content and refined gameplay sure to excite fans.
