A teaser trailer revealed P4R: Persona 4 Revival is coming to Xbox, PS5 and PC, with a day-one launch on Game Pass. While footage was limited, the brief environmental shots displayed noticeable graphical upgrades over the original 2008 release.

Following the announcement, P-Studio director Kazuhisa Wada shared these statements:

"We're thrilled to announce Persona 4 Revival and look forward to sharing more details soon."

"As a beloved title that spawned countless spin-offs including anime and rhythm games, Persona 4 holds special meaning for our team. We're developing this remake with our full passion to deliver fresh surprises for both newcomers and longtime fans."

"We're also making steady progress on future Persona series development and working hard to meet global fan expectations. Please stay tuned for updates."

"We sincerely appreciate everyone's continued support of the Persona franchise."

Remake rumors gained traction in recent months through domain registrations, insider reports, and voice actors mentioning they wouldn't reprise their roles - fueling fan speculation.

IGN originally scored Persona 4 9/10, praising its improved dungeon crawling and social elements over previous entries. While Persona 4 Golden later became the definitive version, its continued absence on Nintendo Switch despite fan demand remains puzzling.
