Pokémon Champions, Game Freak's Leaked Multiplayer Game, Officially Revealed
After months of speculation and leaks, we've finally been introduced to Pokémon Champions, a groundbreaking multiplayer battle-centric game developed through a collaboration between Game Freak and The Pokémon Works—a joint venture of The Pokémon Company and ILCA, the team behind Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.
Pokémon Champions zeroes in on the heart of the franchise: Pokémon battles. It embraces the series' "core-style battles," enabling players to engage in thrilling online competitions. The game's trailer showcased the inclusion of both Mega Evolution and Terastalization, hinting at a comprehensive coverage of various Pokémon battle types and eras.
Moreover, *Pokémon Champions* will integrate with *Pokémon Home*, offering players the ability to transfer Pokémon from other games into this new battleground. This feature not only enriches the gameplay but also provides a much-needed purpose for the countless Pokémon fans have amassed in their collections over the years.Currently in development for Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms, Pokémon Champions does not yet have a confirmed release date. However, it will support Latin American Spanish at launch, alongside other languages traditionally available in Pokémon titles.

Pokémon Champions seems to align with earlier leaks about Pokémon Synapse, which surfaced during the infamous "Freak Leak" last year. This leak unveiled a plethora of Game Freak's internal projects, including unreleased games and development notes. While Pokémon Synapse was rumored to be a multiplayer game with some likening it to Splatoon, it appears that comparison may not fully capture the essence of what Pokémon Champions will offer.
