Polytopia

Midjiwan has unleashed a significant update for The Battle of Polytopia: a complete overhaul of the Aquarion Tribe. This marks a substantial refresh for the game's first special tribe, originally introduced in 2017.

A Deep-Sea Transformation

The Aquarion receive a dramatic visual upgrade. Land units now boast mermaid tails, granting them amphibious capabilities. They move effortlessly across water but are slower on land. This update also introduces flooded terrain, allowing land and naval units to occupy the same spaces for the first time.

Aquatic Architecture

Construction now extends to the water. Buildings can be erected on water, with Lost Cities nestled within deep-sea ruins, providing ideal strategic bases for aquatic warfare. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops, a permanent addition, function similarly to land-based crops.

New Aquatic Threats

Prepare to encounter new marine adversaries. Sharks provide ambush capabilities, puffers unleash long-range bombardments, and jellies deliver electric shocks. Returning favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, also see enhancements; Crabs now flood tiles they traverse, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid-tailed troops. See them in action!

Revitalized Aquatic Warfare

Midjiwan has successfully reinvigorated the Aquarion Tribe. Note that Lost Cities appear at level 3 and include pre-built walls.
