Minor Steam Page Update for Hollow Knight: Silksong

Fresh optimism is stirring among Hollow Knight: Silksong enthusiasts, following a small but notable update to the game’s Steam metadata. As reported by SteamDB, Silksong’s Steam page was refreshed on March 24 and is now integrated with GeForce NOW, meaning the game will launch with compatibility for NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service.
Updates were also spotted in the game’s hidden assets and legal details—most notably, the copyright year shifted from 2019 to 2025. Although unconfirmed, these tweaks may hint at an upcoming Silksong announcement or event. Players have eagerly awaited news, often flooding live event chats—from PlayStation's State of Play to Xbox Developer Direct—with pleas for information.
With this subtle Steam update and the approaching Nintendo Switch 2 Direct on April 2, fans are raising their hopes once more for Silksong-related news.
Silksong Listed Among Upcoming Titles in Xbox Indies Post

Another encouraging sign for Silksong fans came via an Xbox Indies blog post, which featured the game alongside other anticipated indie titles. In an Xbox Wire article published on March 18, ID@Xbox director Guy Richards highlighted the success of the indie developer program, noting that more than $5 billion has been paid out to developers involved.
Richards spotlighted earlier ID@Xbox successes, including Balatro, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and Phasmophobia. He also previewed the upcoming lineup, listing titles such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Descenders Next, FBC: Firebreak—and, notably, Hollow Knight: Silksong. According to Richards, “Looking ahead, our lineup is incredible… and of course Hollow Knight: Silksong too!"
Interestingly, all the other games referenced are scheduled to launch this year. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 arrives on April 24, Descenders Next on April 9, and FBC: Firebreak is set for a 2025 window. This suggests Silksong could also be nearing release, although nothing has been officially confirmed.
Originally Unveiled in February 2019

Team Cherry introduced Silksong in February 2019 as a full-fledged sequel to Hollow Knight. Initially conceived as DLC, the project grew in scope and ambition, evolving into a standalone title. A gameplay trailer debuted during the 2022 Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, with Microsoft confirming that everything shown would be available within the following 12 months.
But in 2023, Team Cherry announced that Silksong would not meet its initial launch target—the first half of 2023—and confirmed that development would continue, with updates to follow as the team neared completion.
Earlier this year, the studio reassured fans that Silksong is still real and still coming. Team Cherry’s marketing lead, Matthew Griffin, responded to a tweet on January 18, affirming, "Yes the game is real, progressing and will release." While brief, the comment offered a glimmer of hope to those concerned about the game’s status.
Recent events and behind-the-scenes changes have reignited expectations that Silksong news may arrive soon. Hollow Knight: Silksong is planned for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Team Cherry has not yet announced a launch date.
