Super Pocket from Evercade debuts two new editions for the classic Atari and Technos libraries

Evercade expands its Super Pocket handheld line with new Atari and Technos editions. These handhelds will feature classic games from the respective platforms. A limited edition (2600 units) wood-grain Atari Super Pocket will also be available.

Game preservation remains a contentious issue, but Evercade provides a legitimate alternative to expensive secondhand games or emulation. Following the successful Capcom and Taito releases, the Atari and Technos editions offer another avenue to enjoy retro gaming officially.

A Retro Revival

The Evercade Super Pocket's compatibility with existing Evercade cartridges offers a portable retro gaming solution. While some might view the limited-edition wood-grain Atari handheld as a marketing tactic, the overall offering provides a convenient and officially licensed way to play classic games. The limited run of 2600 units, however, might be considered a collector's item.
