Tribe Nine, from the creator of Danganronpa, set to open pre-registration

Tribe Nine, the mobile ARPG featuring Danganronpa veterans Rui Komatsuzaki and Kazutaka Kodaka, is now accepting pre-registrations for Android and iOS! Pre-register to receive an exclusive skin and other rewards.

Komatsuzaki's art and Kodaka's design were hallmarks of the PSP visual novel and detective thriller, Danganronpa. Now, this talented duo, along with other Danganronpa alumni, have collaborated on Tribe Nine.

Set in a dystopian Neo-Tokyo in the year 20XX, players take on the roles of teenagers competing in the perilous Extreme Games orchestrated by the enigmatic Zero. Pre-registering grants access to a special Parallel Cypher / Y skin for Koishi Kohinata, among other bonuses.

The game seamlessly blends thrilling action with a pseudo-retro aesthetic, a signature style of Kodaka and Komatsuzaki's collaborations. Explore the overworld in retro sprite style before engaging in full 3D battles. Experiment with equipment and utilize Tension Cards to create unique character builds.

Will it Hit a Home Run?

While Danganronpa's popularity might have waned, its originality on the PSP remains memorable. The unique art style and murder-mystery plot set it apart from the typical visual novel.

Tribe Nine's success remains to be seen. Its distinctive visuals are a plus, but the 3D turn-based battle genre is saturated. To stand out, it needs a truly unique selling point.
