Mistria's Fire Seal: Unlock Guide

Author : Patrick Update : Sep 27,2025

After the March 10 update for Fields of Mistria, players can finally access the Fire Seal by completing earlier altars. Unlocking this seal requires four key offerings: a Faceted Rock Gem, Rockroot, Emerald, and a Sealing Scroll. Here's where to locate each item and proceed with the Fire Seal activation.

Locating the Faceted Rock Gem in Fields of Mistria

The Faceted Rock Gem appears exclusively in the mines of Fields of Mistria. Ensure your game is updated, then explore Floors 50-59 for this artifact—we obtained ours on Floor 56 after thorough excavation.

Like most artifacts, it can be unearthed from marked spots using a pickaxe or shovel. However, its rarity means you’ll likely need persistent mining across multiple floors before securing one.

Rockroot frequently spawns as forageable material on Floors 50-59. If you're a regular mine explorer, you've probably already collected some by accident. If not, look closely for its distinctive dark, twisted roots—only one specimen is needed for the Priestess' altar.

Emeralds are the simplest items to acquire for the Fire Seal. These geodes commonly appear on Floors 50-59—so plentiful that you’ll likely gather extras unless you’ve neglected mining entirely.

Beyond the mines, you can also obtain Emeralds by smashing boulders around Mistria or purchasing them from Balor’s Wagon for just 200 tesserae. The March 2025 update introduced a Stone Refinery where you can craft them, saving time for resourceful players.

The Fire Seal’s final requirement is the Sealing Scroll, obtained through a quest chain starting with Juniper after discovering the seal. Expect to negotiate with Balor, who demands payment before arranging the scroll’s delivery.

Required materials for the Sealing Scroll:

x10 Silver Ingots x10 Rubies x10 Sapphires x10 Emeralds

Regular miners may already possess these materials, but the mines can replenish any shortages. Deposit the requested items in the collection bin near Balor’s Wagon to proceed.

Activating the Fire Seal

Once you’ve gathered the Sealing Scroll, Faceted Rock Gem, Emerald, and Rockroot, return to Floor 60’s altar. Your offering will unleash the Fire Seal, revealing a new biome and additional Early Access content.

NOTE: Fields of Mistria remains in Early Access, so mechanics may evolve. This guide reflects Version 0.13.0 and will be updated with future patches.

Fields of Mistria is currently playable via Steam Early Access.
