Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your adventure begins in the heart of town, positioned across from the Gun Store and Hospital, and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any unnecessary loot and gearing up. I recommend grabbing a Rifle for just $75—it's got the firepower to keep most foes at bay, at least temporarily. Don't forget to stock up on coal to keep your ship's old-school engine running smoothly.

The next town is a hefty 10,000m away. Once you've got your ship moving, you can choose to engage and loot Zombies and Drowned along the way, but I wouldn't advise it due to the limited value in the houses you'll pass. To get moving again, simply add more coal and restart the engine. Don't let the worm on the right side spook you. Hold onto your loot until you reach the second safe zone to sell it off, and watch out for Big Foot and Zombie mobs on either side of the river.

After hitting the second safe zone/town, you'll come across burning buildings swarming with mobs. If you're with a team, clear them out; otherwise, it's not worth the time due to scattered spawn points. At around 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like structure filled with Drowned but also packed with valuable loot like Shotgun ammo. Use your resources wisely here.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips And Tricks
By now, the gameplay loop should be familiar—kill, loot, repeat, and hope for enemy defeat. To excel, focus on efficiency. Utilize your boat as a mobile inventory, clearing your bag whenever you return to it to save time and space.

A key strategy that significantly improved my gameplay was stacking Zombies near the incinerator. While it's tempting to rush out of those rural towns, efficient loot stacking can make a big difference. Running low on fuel? Just toss a few Zombies into the incinerator, and you're set.

Another useful tip: keep an eye on Sheriff's offices. They often house a higher concentration of mobs but also offer valuable rewards like weapons and ammo. My shotgun lasted longer thanks to a friend clearing the ground floor in each town we visited.

Be sure to conserve your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at around 25,000m. It's still under construction, making it a hotspot for ambushes. I recommend tackling this with at least three people, ideally five, and being efficient with your loot collection.

Also, avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000m. They're incredibly tough, require a lot of ammo, and hit hard. Plan your stops wisely; remember, loot isn't everything.
The town past 50,000m is one of my top farming spots. It's teeming with Drowned and Zombies, perfect for those armed with Shotguns or a Sawnoff. It's also an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel, so coordinate with your team to prepare the bodies for loading quickly.
How to Defeat the Kraken Boss in Dead Sails Kraken
As you approach the final showdown, make sure to sell all your loot in the last safe zone and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't skimp on dealing with Zombies and Drowned. Have a stash of at least 8-10 corpses ready for fuel during the final stretch. At around 100,000m, you'll reach open waters and be ready to confront the Kraken. The skies will darken, signaling its approach.

When the Kraken emerges, everyone must target a tentacle. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can attack if not countered effectively. With five players, form a pentagram-like shape and focus on your assigned tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash attack, an AoE move that hits multiple players and is signaled by the Kraken pulling back its tentacle and creating a water trail. Use medkits liberally here, as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, beware of the Roar AoE, which inflicts minor damage but is unblockable and seems to slightly boost the Kraken's damage. You'll see it as white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle that used the ability.
