Squares: Master the Daily Word Strand Puzzle!

Squares is a daily word puzzle game challenging players to strategically complete squares on a grid to form words. The goal is simple: find as many words as possible to maximize your score.

How to Play:

Connect letters in any direction – up, down, left, right, or diagonally – to create words. The more letters you use, the higher your score!

Game Rules:

• Scoring: Earn one point for each letter in a word (minimum 4 letters). A five-letter word earns 5 points.
• Letter Usage: Each tile can only be used once per word.
• Word Restrictions: Hyphenated words, proper nouns, offensive language, and uncommon terms are excluded.

Bonus Challenges:

• Bonus Words: Uncommon, archaic, or slang words are hidden within the grid. These don't add to your main score but appear on a separate bonus list. You can continue searching for these even after finding all the main words.
• Word of the Day: Each puzzle features a special, often longer bonus word. Finding it rewards you with two extra hints!

Gameplay Features:

• Daily Puzzle: A new Squares puzzle is available every day at midnight.
• Grid Rotation: Rotate the grid left or right to gain a fresh perspective and uncover hidden words.
• Hints: After discovering 40% of the words, a hint system activates, displaying a number on each letter indicating how many words begin with that letter (0 means no words start with that letter). Letters turning orange are no longer used in the main words but might still be part of bonus words. Each puzzle offers 3-5 hints (lightbulb icon), revealing the first letter and search direction of a random word. Sharing the game link earns you an extra hint!
