- Canon Camera Connect is an app that lets you transfer photos taken with compatible Canon cameras directly to your smartphone or tablet.
- By connecting to your camera over Wi-Fi—either through a direct connection or a wireless router—this app offers the following benefits:
- Transfer and store camera photos on your smartphone.
- Take remote shots using live view from your smartphone.
- Link up with various Canon services.
- Additional features are available for compatible camera models:
- Automatically capture GPS location from your smartphone and embed it into photos taken on the camera.
- Switch from Bluetooth pairing mode to Wi-Fi connection (works with Bluetooth-enabled cameras, or via touch with NFC-enabled models).
- Remotely trigger the camera shutter using a Bluetooth connection.

- Bluetooth System Requirements
- For Bluetooth connectivity, your camera must support Bluetooth, and your Android device must have Bluetooth 4.0 or later (including Bluetooth Low Energy) and run Android 5.0 or higher.
- Supported Languages
- Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Korean, Turkish
- Compatible File Types
- JPEG, MP4, MOV
- Original RAW files cannot be imported (they are converted to JPEG during transfer).
- MOV files and 8K video clips captured with EOS cameras cannot be saved.
- HEIF (10-bit) files and RAW video clips from compatible cameras cannot be saved.
- AVCHD video files recorded with camcorders cannot be saved.
- Important Notes
- If the app doesn’t respond properly, close and restart it.
- This app is not guaranteed to work on all Android devices.
- When using a Power Zoom Adapter, ensure the Live View function is turned on.
- If a network confirmation prompt appears when connecting to the camera, check the box to automatically use the same connection next time.
- Photos may contain personal data such as GPS coordinates—be cautious when sharing them online.
