Max ha presentado un nuevo y emocionante trailer de la temporada 2 de Peacemaker, que mejora significativamente sus lazos con la narrativa de Superman al presentar a Maxwell Lord, Hawkgirl y Guy Gardner desde la escena de apertura.

El trailer comienza con Sean Gunn retratando a Maxwell Lord, Nathan Fillion como Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, e Isabela Merced como Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, quien se ve entrevistando al pacificador de John Cena para un posible equipo de superhéroes. La entrevista rápidamente se vuelve agria, dejando el pacificador visiblemente desanimado cuando sale del edificio.

Estos personajes ofrecen un primer vistazo a algunos de los miembros del reparto de apoyo que también aparecerán en la próxima película de Superman de James Gunn.

Peacemaker Season 2 se estrenará el 21 de agosto, luego del lanzamiento de Superman el 11 de julio. Esta la convierte en la tercera entrega en la nueva DCU, que comenzó con la serie de televisión de criaturas Comandos a fines del año pasado.

James Gunn y el co-CEO Peter Safran están alejando a la DCU del universo extendido de DC Criticted DC, que incluía películas como Justice League, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice y Man of Steel. Sin embargo, ciertos elementos se transferirán al nuevo universo.

Peacemaker sirve como un excelente ejemplo de esta transición, con su primera temporada originada en el ahora desaparecido DCEU, mientras que su segunda temporada se posiciona firmemente dentro de la nueva DCU.

James Gunn ha enfatizado que "muchos hilos seguirán siendo consistentes en lo que respecta a la historia de Peacemaker", aunque todavía está incierto qué elementos específicos harán la transición de la DCEU a la DCU.
