Gameplay Instructions

Use your mouse to navigate the map. Extend your territory by drawing lines, expanding your domain. Returning to your starting point completes the loop, securing all enclosed tiles.

Caution: venturing outside your territory exposes you to risk. If an opponent intercepts your line, you'll be cut off, forcing you to start anew.

Achieve Hexanaut status by controlling 20% of the map. Maintain this control for two minutes to claim victory! A crucial note: elimination while another player holds Hexanaut status means you're out of the game.

Mastering the Totems

Five distinct totems enhance gameplay in Hexanaut.io. Strategic capture is highly recommended. Each offers unique benefits:

• Spreading Totem: This totem directly grants you hexes. Captured totems unleash lasers that automatically claim adjacent tiles—especially valuable in the early game.

• Speed Totem: Provides a 5% speed boost. The cumulative effect of multiple Speed Totems is significant, making them a high priority target.

• Teleporting Gate: Enables instant transportation across your territory. This saves valuable time when managing a large area and offers a tactical advantage for surprising opponents.

• Slowing Totem: Creates a zone that dramatically slows down opponents. Use this to your advantage by eliminating slowed enemies, but avoid enemy Slowing Totems whenever possible.

• Spy Dish: Reveals the territories of all other players on the map. Invaluable for defending against attacks on your larger territories.
