- Face Dynamax Entei for the first time during the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th-27th
- A variety of special bonuses will be active throughout both limited-time events
This month marks the arrival of two Pokémon from the Galar region in Pokémon Go, offering something for everyone. Whether you're drawn to adorable creatures or powerful battles, prepare for both sweet encounters and fiery showdowns. Applin and its evolved forms debut during the Sweet Discoveries event, while Dynamax Entei brings intense action to the Max Battle Weekend.
Sweet Discoveries takes place from April 24th to 29th, featuring the debut of Applin, the tiny Dragon/Grass-type Pokémon. Catching Applin is just the first step—you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples to evolve it. Use Tart Apples to evolve into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. Apples can be found randomly in the wild, especially near Mossy Lure Modules, and may even trigger Applin encounters.
During the event, you can encounter wild Pokémon like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and the festive Delibird. Complete Field Research tasks and hatch Eggs for additional chances to collect themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Sweet and Tart Apples are also available through Timed Research, which offers both free and premium tracks. The paid track provides extra Mossy Lure Modules and additional encounters, including Applin.

Be sure to visit the in-game shop for the exclusive Applin Headband and Apron, and watch for PokéStop Showcases featuring event-themed Pokémon. If roaring power excites you more than fruity friends, mark your calendar for April 26th–27th—that’s when Dynamax Entei makes its debut. With a bit of luck, you might even encounter a Shiny Entei.
