How to Get & Use Armor Spheres in Monster Hunter Wilds
Upgrading your armor is crucial for survival in Monster Hunter Wilds, but simply crafting new sets isn't always the most efficient strategy. Upgrading existing armor is key to keeping pace with the increasing difficulty. Here's how to obtain and utilize Armor Spheres.
Obtaining Armor Spheres in Monster Hunter Wilds
Armor Spheres are primarily acquired as quest rewards. Both main and optional quests offer them as potential loot.
You'll begin receiving Armor Spheres after defeating Uth Duna for the first time in the main storyline. Subsequently, most main and optional quests (especially those after Uth Duna) will include Armor Spheres among their rewards.
To view potential rewards, open your quest journal, select a quest, and press R1. Your rewards will be displayed after a successful hunt.
Farming Armor Spheres is relatively straightforward. Progressing through the main story will naturally yield a significant number, but completing optional quests will greatly boost your supply.
Using Armor Spheres
Armor Spheres are essential for armor upgrades. At the base camp, speak with Gemma the smithy and select the "Forge/Upgrade Armor" option. Choose an existing piece of gear, then press R1 to access the Upgrade tab.
Select the armor piece you wish to upgrade. You'll need to provide Armor Spheres and Zenny. The cost increases with each subsequent upgrade level.
