Bandai Namco Announces Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage EOS
Bandai Namco's fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially closing its servers. This isn't unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing, which also succumbed to issues like imbalanced PvP.
Shutdown Date:
The game, launched in 2017, will shut down on December 9th, 2024. Players can continue enjoying the game until then.
Final Events:
Several events are planned before the end-of-service (EOS):
- Village Leader World Championship: October 8th - 18th
- All-Out Mission: October 18th - November 1st
- ‘Thanks For Everything’ Campaign: November 1st - December 1st
Players can still collect Ninja Cards, participate in summoning events, and utilize in-game items until the final day. It's advisable to spend any remaining Gold Coins.
Reasons for Closure:
While initially successful with its balanced village-building, trap-setting, and defense mechanics, the game's decline began around its mid-life. The introduction of Minato Namikaze initiated a noticeable power creep, alienating players. This was compounded by increasingly overt pay-to-win mechanics, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features. These factors ultimately led to the game's inevitable closure. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those wishing to try it.
