Battledom Alpha: Immersive Strategy Game Unveiled
Indie game developer Sander Frenken has unveiled the alpha testing phase for his upcoming title, Battledom. This RTS-lite game serves as a spiritual successor to his 2020 hit, Herodom. Developed over approximately two years, Battledom represents a refinement of Frenken's original vision for Herodom.
Battledom introduces dynamic RTS combat mechanics. Players command units across the battlefield, targeting enemies and manually deploying siege weapons. Strategic formations enhance gameplay, adding a layer of tactical depth.
Players amass coins to recruit units, initially equipped with basic weapons and no armor. Customization is key; players equip units with crafted weapons and armor, impacting stats such as attack power, range, accuracy, and defense.
Resource gathering is essential. Players collect materials like wood, leather, and coal within their village to craft these upgrades at various workshops, including the blacksmith and magician's quarters.
Frenken's Herodom, a well-received tower defense game (App Store rating: 4.6), features over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically-inspired battles. Progression unlocks new cosmetic options and farm additions.
iOS users can participate in Battledom's alpha test via TestFlight. For updates and further details, follow Sander Frenken on X (formerly Twitter) or Reddit, or explore his other App Store titles.
