How to Start The Lion’s Crest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Once you've completed the tutorial section in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and ventured into the open-world, head to Troskowitz to meet the scribe Gaibl. He'll kick off The Lion’s Crest quest by providing you with a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick’s polearm. You'll need to gather the necessary materials yourself, but you can craft this weapon at any blacksmith’s forge.
The Lion’s Crest Riddle Solution
The riddle you receive from Gaibl reads:
“Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still.”
To solve this, head to Trosky Castle to find the Crone Tower and Maiden Tower. Exit through the northern gates and continue north into the forest.
Follow the road, keeping an eye on the left side. You'll soon see some rocky formations with crevices you can navigate. Enter these and you'll discover a cave with a chapel inside. Examine the cross on the rock next to the chapel to uncover the first piece of Brunswick’s Armour and two treasure maps to guide you further.
Map 1
Continue westward along the road from the chapel until you reach a crossroads. Head north into the woods to locate a wolf den. Look for trees just above the den; you'll find a bag containing the second piece of Brunswick’s armour.
Map 2
The second map directs you to Vidlak Pond. Follow the path behind the fisherman’s house and keep an eye out for a large rock formation along the cliffs. Ascend the rocks to find a chest next to a cross.
Map 3
For the third map, fast travel to Zhelejov. Head to the tavern, then leave the settlement. Cross the two bridges toward Tachov, but right after the second bridge, take a small path leading to the river and the forest. Follow this path to a hill and inspect the large tree on top to find some bones and a bag with the armour.
Map 4
The fourth map guides you to a hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. On the hill, search for rocks with a cross on top; the final piece of Brunswick’s armour awaits you there.
And that’s how to successfully start and complete The Lion’s Crest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more tips and detailed information on the game, including romance options and the best perks to unlock first, be sure to check out resources like The Escapist.
