Calico and Sinclair Rebalanced in Deadlock Update

Deadlock receives another surprise update from Valve, this time focusing on balance adjustments for four heroes and item tweaks. This small but impactful patch marks the fifth update of 2025 and the first for February.

Calico suffers significant nerfs. Her Return to Shadows ability now has a ten-second longer cooldown, and 20% of its speed boost has been shifted to tier 2. The damage output of her tier 2 Leaping Slash has also been reduced.

Sinclair receives a visual overhaul with updated sounds and animations. More significantly, his Rabbit Hex ability is now area-of-effect (AoE). Holliday and Wraith also experienced nerfs, though the specifics weren't detailed.

Item changes include a reduction in stacks for Ammo Scavenger, removing its health bonus. Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer offer Fire Rate and Weapon Damage bonuses, respectively.
