"Castle Doombad: Defend Your Evil Lair Now on Android!"
Castle Doombad has made a thrilling comeback with the launch of *Castle Doombad: Free To Slay* on Android. Developed by Grumpyface Studios and published by Yodo1, this tower defense strategy game first hit the scene back in 2014. Grumpyface, known for hits like Steven Universe: Attack the Light, Unleash the Light, and Teeny Titans, initially planned a remake of Castle Doombad but decided to split it into *Free to Slay* for mobile and *Classic* for PC and Nintendo Switch.
*Castle Doombad Classic* is set to release later this year on Nintendo Switch and Steam. This remastered version will feature updated content and new features, while *Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!* is currently in development, promising more villainous fun.
Let Loose Your Inner Villain in Castle Doombad: Free To Slay!
In *Castle Doombad: Free To Slay*, you can unleash your inner evil, indulge in maniacal laughter, and wreak havoc. The game challenges you to construct the most sinister lair imaginable while thwarting those pesky, virtuous heroes. Here, traps and minions are your weapons of choice, flipping the usual gameplay on its head.
The game is free to play, supported by ads and optional in-app purchases. You'll dive into the full original game, featuring 70 stages, daily challenges, and endless modes. With over 30 traps to unlock and upgrade, and more than 100 items to collect, there's plenty to keep you engaged. Additionally, the unlockable cosmetics system, dubbed 'spoils,' lets you adorn your Dark Lord and his control room with various evil artifacts and loot, which you can pair with your own 'Baddie Bonus' perks.
*Castle Doombad: Free To Slay* also introduces a new rougelite mode, 'Dr. Lord Evilstein’s Roguevenge.' In this mode, you'll defend randomly-generated castle layouts and collect nefarious Nightmares, unlocking a range of villainous new powers and abilities.
