Author : Adam Update : May 14,2025

CrazyGames is set to launch its exciting Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, running from April 25th to May 5th. This 10-day event, in collaboration with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider, is a global game development marathon open to indie developers. The focus of the jam is on creating innovative web-based multiplayer games, offering participants the chance to compete for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses. These include a 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year valued at €7,500, a 500 CCU for a year at €1,500, and a 100 CCU for a year at €100.

The event has clear guidelines: games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and should adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these rules, developers are encouraged to let their creativity soar. CrazyGames, which has been a leading platform for free online gaming since its launch in 2014, will support participants throughout the event and offer winners the chance to have their games published on their platform. The platform utilizes HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI technologies to provide smooth browser-based gaming experiences for thousands of titles.

A pre-jam livestream is scheduled for April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn, where participants can gain insights into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, emphasized the significance of these platforms, noting, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."

Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more information and to register, visit the official jam page.
