Charlie Cox Confirms Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Wrapped

The future of Disney's Daredevil revival is now uncertain following a surprising statement from series star Charlie Cox.

During an appearance at GalaxyCon, Cox referred to the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again—scheduled for release on Disney+ in 2026—as the show's "final season," hinting that after years of anticipation for Daredevil's return, fans may only receive two seasons.

However, the situation may not be so definitive. Enter Kingpin actor Vincent D'Onofrio, who once again stole Daredevil's spotlight by suggesting there may still be hope for the series to continue—even if nothing is confirmed at this stage.

While discussing his new Daredevil suit during a GalaxyCon stage appearance (which the event recorded and later shared on TikTok), Cox described Born Again Season 2 as the show's concluding installment.

"We're doing something this final season that isn't in the comics, making it unique to our show," Cox remarked.

Seeking clarification, fans shared Cox's comment with Wilson Fisk actor Vincent D'Onofrio, who responded this morning via X with: "Good chance there will be a third."

Daredevil: Born Again has been one of the most anticipated Marvel series coming to Disney+, with Charlie Cox's portrayal of Daredevil remaining particularly popular among dedicated Marvel fans. Still, it's unclear how well the show's first season has resonated with broader audiences.

Much like Matt Murdock himself, the series has wrestled with its identity—emerging as a hybrid between Marvel's original plan for a fresh introduction of the character and later additions to the first season that positioned it more as a continuation of the original Netflix Daredevil series.

The upcoming second season—which may now be its last—will be the first to have been written from the start with its Netflix origins firmly in mind (including the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones). At the very least, D'Onofrio's comment offers hope for more episodes—though that may depend on how audiences respond to next year's new season.
