Dawnwalker: New Blood Game Details Unveiled

A Tale of Two Identities
Rebel Wolves studio has revealed intriguing details about their highly anticipated vampire RPG, highlighting the protagonist's "duality" as a core gameplay element.
Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz explained their unique approach centers on crafting a Jekyll-and-Hyde style character - a concept rarely explored in video games despite its literary pedigree. This innovative mechanic promises to bring fresh surreal elements to the RPG genre.
Balancing Humanity and Supernatural Power
The developers will experiment with letting players control both human and vampire versions of the protagonist. Tomaszkiewicz noted how this creates compelling contrasts, but requires careful implementation as players expect certain RPG conventions.
"We're constantly weighing whether to follow established mechanics or innovate," Tomaszkiewicz explained. "Genre fans appreciate familiarity, so changes must be thoughtful."
Learning From Past Innovations
The team cites Kingdom Come: Deliverance's divisive save-system as a cautionary tale about balancing novelty with player expectations. Tomaszkiewicz emphasized implementing such bold concepts requires striking precise balances.
While no official title has been announced, gameplay is slated for unveiling in summer 2025.
