On January 18, Deadlock introduced four exciting new heroes to the fray. Just days later, Valve rolled out a balancing update to ensure fair play. Holliday's ability, Crackshot, now activates on units as well, with its cooldown halved in these instances. Meanwhile, Calico's ability, Ava, has been upgraded to destroy objects she encounters during her dash.

The patch didn't overlook the game's veteran heroes either. Kelvin's health has been boosted from 600 to 650, enhancing his survivability. On the other hand, Vendicta faces a slight nerf with her bullet speed dropping from 810 to 740 and her movement speed decreasing from nine to eight. These adjustments, alongside tweaks to 11 heroes in total—including the newcomers—demonstrate Valve's commitment to maintaining a balanced gameplay experience.

Deadlock remains in closed beta, yet its player base is thriving, with the online player count fluctuating between 7,000 and 20,000. This continued engagement showcases the game's growing popularity and the effectiveness of Valve's ongoing updates.
