How To Farm Sharp Fang in Monster Hunter Wilds
Unlocking the Secrets of Sharp Fangs in Monster Hunter Wilds
Sharp Fangs are a valuable crafting resource in Monster Hunter Wilds, crucial for early-game gear like Chatacabra and Talioth armor. This guide details efficient farming methods.
Early access to Sharp Fangs is available in the Windward Plains, accessible through optional quests like "Beware the Chatacabra" or "The Desert is Demanding." These quests provide a convenient 50-minute time limit. Remember to consume a meal for buffs before embarking.
Focus your efforts on Area 8 of the Windward Plains, its expansive landscape teeming with smaller monsters. While several creatures can drop Sharp Fangs, Gaijos are your primary target.
Targeting Gaijos
Gaijos, resembling crocodiles with unique snouts, are found near or in riverbeds. Their locations are pinpointed on the map by purple diamonds near water sources. These relatively weak monsters are easily defeated, guaranteeing a single Sharp Fang per carcass.
With four to five Gaijos typically spawning, repeatedly completing Windward Plains optional quests provides a reliable farming strategy.
Talioth as an Alternative
Talioth, bipedal creatures found in packs in Areas 8 and 13, offer a secondary, albeit less reliable, source of Sharp Fangs. While not guaranteed, they present an opportunity to simultaneously progress the "The Desert is Demanding" quest (requiring 8 Talioth kills).
