"Guide to Acquiring Trap Tools in Monster Hunter Wilds"
Slaying monsters is thrilling, but if you're aiming to gather every monster part for armor crafting in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, you'll need to master the art of trapping them. This requires specific materials, and here's your guide to acquiring Trap Tools in the game.
Where to Get Trap Tools in Monster Hunter Wilds
While *Monster Hunter Wilds* doesn't explicitly guide you on trapping monsters or acquiring Trap Tools, fans of the series will find the process familiar.
To get your hands on Trap Tools, head to the Provisions Stockpiler NPC at your Base Camp. Engage in a conversation with him and browse through his inventory until you spot the Trap Tools. Each one will set you back 200 Zenny. It's wise to stock up on a few, particularly if you're planning to farm specific monsters or aim to capture every creature the game offers.
Note that Trap Tools can only be purchased at Base Camp and won't be found scattered in the wild like other resources.
How to Use Trap Tools
With your Trap Tools in possession, it's time to utilize them effectively. You can combine them with a Net (crafted from Spiderweb or Ivy) to create a Pitfall Trap, or pair them with a Thunderbug Capacitor for a Shock Trap.
Both types of traps are effective, but be mindful that some monsters have immunities. For example, Shock Traps won't affect Rey Dau, a lightning dragon, so in that case, opt for a Pitfall Trap.
Remember, you can carry only one Trap item at a time, so use them strategically when the monster is weakened.
