As announced in their recent X (formerly Twitter) post, Hades 2 has been in early access since May 6, 2024. Developer Supergiant Games celebrated this milestone by expressing gratitude to their community for their support and patience. They shared, "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"

The original Hades followed a similar path, spending 22 months in early access before its full release. However, Supergiant aims to bring Hades 2 to full release sooner, starting with a time-exclusive launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.
